I wanted to post a review on my telephone experience today with Josh F and Sophia on the reception team. Both were extremely helpful and I asked like 20 questions, but nothing was to much trouble. They have both made something really stressful into something to look forward to. Even if our hotel experience isn't as good, which I'm really hopeful it will be, they both still deserve the recognition. They need a pay rise and bonus. Staff like them are an asset to any hotel. Thank you both so much for all your help and advice today.

I visited here on Saturday, January 10th for the half Spa Day that included lunch. I was initially a bit worried after I had booked as I had read so many mixed reviews and the negative ones regarding the Spa left me feeling uneasy. However, I am glad that I didn't listen to these negative reviews, as we both had a really lovely day! We found a free road to park on as I don't like to pay for parking at the best of times. We were greeted by a friendly hotel receptionist who directed us downstairs to the Spa and we were greeted by another nice man who showed us around. We opted out of paying £9.00 for the Robes as we didn't really need them. The Sauna room is still closed however this didn't bother us. I already knew that it was still closed as I had read online but perhaps it would be helpful to advise people at time of booking as I heard a few people complaining amongst themselves. The pool and hot tub wasn't too busy. I would say that it needs a bit of a spruce up. The walls look a little run down but thats just from an observation. My only little negatives would be firstly: that there are a lack of lounge chairs around the pool, they only have little plastic chairs. This did not impact our experience as we went into the Aromatherapy room to lay down however I think it would be quite nice to add some. I appreciate there is only so much room to do this. The second thing, would be the changing rooms. In the ladies there is only one shower, two private changing areas and two toilets, the lockers are tiny and there are not enough for guests, and the changing rooms are tight for space. Although again it did not ruin my experience, it meant I couldn't shower before I left as there was a queue to use the shower. I feel as though it would make the experience more relaxing and luxury if these are improved. To finish our experience we had lunch in the restaurant. All I can say is wow. I had read some reviews of people saying the service was slow, and the food was cold or bland, however we both very much enjoyed our meal. I had the fish and chips which came out piping hot, and in good time. My Boyfriend had a burger and he really enjoyed it. Only feedback would be that they should include at least a soft drink/ tea or coffee into this package as we paid £80 for this day and still had to pay for drinks on top. Sides and deserts I can understand charging extra for. Overall I would return here again for the experience. It was a nice relaxing local day out.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely chilled weekend. The room was very clean and well presented. The hotel had good facilities with the gym and pool, which we used. The Spa was a little tired and the steam room was temperamental. But considering the amount we paid for the facility it was fine. We really enjoyed our stay. Walking distance into Bournemouth and nice restaurants at Southourne. Thank you, we will be back.

My wonderful wife and I decided to have a little treat after some pretty stressful times. We found ourselves booked in for a night at the West Cliff Hotel and Spa. The hotel was clean and crisp, everything one would expect from a great hotel. The staff greetings us were lovely and efficient. The room was fab, only one issue was the lock, it was faulty which meant it was both possible and easy to leave the room and it still be unlocked. Reception were advised and I have no doubt this was rectified in no time. My first spa treatment was with Jackie. A massage. I have a torn rotator cuff and constant pain. I mentioned this to Jackie and she advised a dep muscle massage on my shoulder. I've had many many such massages over the years and I must say Jackie is the top of the list, my only regret is that I only had a 25 minute session, I wish it had been 90 minutes. Jackie was amazing, friendly, professional and an incredibly talented masseuse. ..*Note to hotel management* Jackie is an incredible asset, whatever you pay her.... It is not enough. Jackie - Thank you, I had the first pain free night I can remember. The spa was fabulous, clean not too busy and incredibly warm. Actually, the next morning the aromatherapy room was too warm. We were unable to sit on the tiled seats as they were HOT. Watching it appears we were not the only ones who could not use it. I had a second treatment the next day, a foot massage and having never had one before did not really know what to expect... But the heated mitts were incredible! We ate in the restaurant that evening and the next morning and were pleasantly surprised that the prices for both food and drinks were very reasonable and the food excellent. Thank you West Cliff you surpassed our expectations. We will be back.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel for my girlfriend’s birthday. They went above and beyond and responded to all my requests. They set the room up with balloons and banners and the restaurant gave a complimentary birthday treat. Really friendly staff, amazing spa facilities and luscious big rooms. Would highly recommend!

We spent Christmas week and are very happy with this hotel. The staff couldn't do enough to help and the room was beautiful and clean. The bedding was excellent. In the afternoon we would sit on confortable chairs in the bar area and read. The big pool is nice and clean. The spa was our heaven every morning. It's in the basement of hotel and has steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, whirlpool and big pool. The breakfast was ok but not a big spread. I don't think it justified the price. As for location it is a short walk to city center and restaurants. There's a few pubs close by. We will go back again.

As a former Bournemouth resident I've always known this hotel but never had reason to stay. Now I have, and can say that the rooms are very pleasant, the staff member who checked me in was excellent, and overall the hotel had a lovely atmosphere. The price, through a booking app, was superb too. Happy to recommend!

Had a great time here at the spa. Conveniently parked onsite, £6 for the day. Got our towels, and a robe for £6. Started off with a relaxing Indian head massage from Ruby. Enjoyed the facilities, especially the relaxation room and sauna. The changing rooms were nice and modern but too small for a busy Saturday! Then finished up with an afternoon tea which was rather tasty. Loved the little macarons and cheesecake. Would highly recommend and definitely come back if I ever get the chance. Thanks
